![]() The process was to map all joystick functions + M to the Bluetooth gamepad.and select Joy(stick) in game. In other words, oil/smoke is activated by holding Fire and pressing M at the same time.Ī couple of weeks back I achieved my same goal in C64.emu, with a Bluetooth controller. ![]() It contains an in game option to select Key(board) or Joy(stick) - with these keys listed: I think I should have mentioned that my copy of Spy Hunter is the one "trained by GRG of Nostalgia". Thanks for your reply! I'm going to try out your solution when I have a bit more time.and when my wife isn't looking! Does anybody know how to solve this? Maybe I'm on the wrong path and you can suggest an altogether different solution? I want to map Joystick 1 Fire Button 2 - as Joystick 2 Fire Button 1. Commando, without having to switch control ports back and forth. To play Spy Hunter properly, I should be able to separate machine gun/missile fire from oil/smoke release.īy the way: the control port “trick” is also a handy way of being able to play games that use Control Port 2 e.g. This means when I intend to shoot machine guns or missiles, I simultaneously release oil/smoke and vice versa. It's a reasonable solution, without any lag but it has one flaw: machine gun, missiles, oil and smoke all end up on Fire Button 1. This effectively turns my one USB gamepad into both joysticks. The other success I've had was to change Mode to PC Gameport 1 for both Control Port 1 and Control Port 2. This is a complete solution but for some reason the vehicle does not handle very well when I use this method – there seems to be some lag. I have had success going into Define Joystick Special and mapping the needed keys to Joystick 1. My copy of Spy Hunter can be played using the keyboard. Note: all configuration settings which I mention below are found on the Input menu (access the Input menu by pressing Alt + I). My aim is to play Spy Hunter, with all needed functions available on one USB gamepad. This is my second post regarding the Dual Control Module used in Spy Hunter – but this time I’m enquiring regarding CCS64.Īre you familiar with the Dual Control Module required to play Spy Hunter on C64? In summary: steering, machine gun fire and missiles are controlled by Joystick 1 but oil slicks and smoke screens are controlled by the Fire Button on Joystick 2.
